Volunteer in the Developing Minds Lab
Research assistants support all aspects of our projects, including:
Recruiting and scheduling participants
Collecting data with families and children
Analyzing, reporting, and presenting results
Participating in lab events and meetings
Lab volunteers work closely with other lab members and the lab director, and receive guidance on professional development. These experiences can be excellent preparation for graduate school and professional work environments.
We require a minimum commitment of two semesters and at least 6 hours per week during daytime hours. Students are encouraged to participate for course credit. To inquire about volunteer opportunities, email devminds@gmu.edu with:

Why you are specifically interested in this lab
How this experience would help you meet your specific goals, and what those goals are
Your background in developmental psychology research, including relevant coursework and experience with families or children
Your weekly daytime availability and your ability to commit to at least two semesters
Any relevant demonstrable technical skills, such as computer hardware troubleshooting or experience using Python or R
